Your full-day sea adventure experience begins with an embarkment on a traditional dhow from the Fumba fishing village. The dhow, introduced by the Arabs, was originally a trading vessel used by the Swahili people, and today it reflects the craftsmanship of Zanzibari timbers.
Onboard, you'll explore the sea and shores of Zanzibar, visiting islands and coral reefs in the pristine Menai bay conservation region. You'll have the opportunity to take a dip in front of naturally occurring sandbanks, rest on white sand beaches with coconut trees providing shade, and possibly even spot swimming dolphins.
You'll also visit a 200-year-old baobab tree and, if the tide is right, swim in a mangrove lagoon on Kwale Island. In between, you'll have the chance to snorkel and possibly swim with dolphins.
A delicious seafood buffet lunch will be provided to refuel after all the activities. If you prefer to relax instead, you're welcome to just sit back and enjoy the highlights of your Zanzibari vacation.
This tour includes a guided full-day boat trip shared with other groups, a local English-speaking guide, transportation from any hotel in Zanzibar, snorkeling equipment, seafood lunch buffet and refreshments. You will need to bring a swimsuit and towel. The tour is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, but as it is a full-day activity and ends at around 4 pm, we do not suggest combining it with other activities.
